We have immediate opening for a Full Time Day Shift Registered Nurse at the Jones County Adult Detention Center. This is for three 12 hour shifts per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient health, providing treatments and medications, and maintaining accurate patient records. This position requires excellent communication and documentation skills, a strong knowledge of medical procedures, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care in correctional settings. Perform assessments and develop nursing care plans for patients. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by providers. Monitor patient progress and document all observations, treatments, and interventions. Execute standing orders and protocols. Provide education to patients on health promotion and disease prevention. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
