Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Contract Deliver exceptional care to patients in a dynamic post-anesthesia care environment. This role calls for a skilled RN with expertise in PACU settings, providing compassionate recovery support to individuals after surgical procedures.
Key Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted RN license Proven experience in a PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) setting Comprehensive knowledge of recovery procedures, patient assessments, and medication administration in PACU Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS) certifications required Outstanding communication, critical thinking, and organizational abilities Ability to remain attentive and calm in urgent situations
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during recovery following anesthesia Deliver evidence-based nursing care and implement physician orders accurately and promptly Educate patients and their families about post-operative care needs Document all care activities, changes in patient status, and treatment responses according to regulatory and facility standards Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to optimize care and recovery Respond swiftly to complications and emergencies using appropriate interventions Maintain a secure, clean, and supportive PACU environment
