1 Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Long Term Care/Extended Care unit requiring an active MT or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience. Details Long Term Care/Extended Care unit within a hospital setting 12-hour variable shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly Schedule starts on night shift in October, transitions to day shift in November, with flexibility to cover both shifts Uses Epic for charting Requirements Active MT or compact RN license required BLS certification through the American Heart Association, valid through start date ASN or higher from an accredited nursing program required Minimum 1 year of experience in Long Term Care/Extended Care specialty required Must be able to lift objects over 100 lbs and frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs Requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and other physical demands Strong documentation, reading, and writing skills required DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration Additional Information Provide holistic nursing care including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for residents Act as resident advocate, coordinating total care and supporting residents in achieving their highest practicable level of function Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to coordinate medical and nursing care plans Identify and document residents at risk for nutritional and functional decline, as well as signs of abuse or neglect Supervise, coach, and evaluate performance of assigned CNA staff Maintain working knowledge of CMS regulations and Medicare skilled/MDS criteria to ensure compliant documentation Provide resident and family education and coordinate discharge planning Background check and drug screen results required prior to start, with candidates expected to report for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignmentCareer Insights for Medical Surgery Registered Nurse
