Our QUAD A-accredited outpatient surgery center in Cary is hiring a full-time RN to anchor our small surgery team. Your primary job is to scrub, and you will run the sterile field for our surgical days. You will occasionally circulate and recover patients when the schedule calls for it, and you will help teach our PRN techs and surgical medical assistant. You do not have to arrive as a finished scrub. If you are an OR nurse who wants to be at the field and has the temperament for it, you will continue to be trained by a surgeon who genuinely likes to teach. The ideal candidate has an innate ability to focus, an acute attention to detail, and a natural comfort being sterile. If you want to become an RN First Assistant, we will support that. We will build the training pathway and validate your competency as you go. What your days look like Scrubbing the wide variety of cases, from facial procedures to breast and implant cases to body contouring. Setting up, running, and breaking down the sterile field; counts, implant verification, specimen handling. Owning preference cards and instrument trays so cases start clean and stay smooth. Circulating and recovering when assigned, and supporting sterile processing. Precepting PRN surgical technologists and our surgical medical assistant at the field.

Qualifications:

Current unrestricted NC or compact RN license. At least one year of operating room experience in any capacity. BLS required; ACLS required. Comfort being sterile and working in a sterile environment. The ability to hold focus through a long case and read the room. Genuine interest in aesthetic and plastic surgery. You're looking for somewhere to stay. Nice to have, not required Prior scrub experience — we will train the right nurse from wherever they are starting. Plastic, cosmetic, or aesthetic surgery background. CNOR.
