Category Nursing - RN - Endoscopy Job Type Contract An excellent opportunity is now available for an experienced RN specializing in Endoscopy/GI Lab. This contract position calls for a nursing professional ready to deliver high-quality care in a dynamic hospital environment renowned for excellence in patient services. Schedule/Hours:
Variable shifts Includes 4 weeknight calls and 3 weekend calls within a 6-week schedule
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active, unencumbered RN license Proven RN experience in Endoscopy or GI Lab setting required Strong clinical assessment skills, especially in procedural and surgical environments Current BLS and ACLS certifications Track record of working effectively with multi-disciplinary teams Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills Familiarity with EMR charting systems preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver patient-focused nursing care throughout the endoscopy/GI lab procedures, maintaining strict compliance with hospital protocols Collaborate with physicians and procedural staff for seamless, safe patient care Prepare, monitor, and recover patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures Respond swiftly and efficiently to emergencies while exercising sound clinical judgment Participate in on-call coverage as outlined in the scheduling rotation Provide patient and family education pre- and post-procedure
