Responsibilities Provide direct acute and medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and respond to changes in condition Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality protocols Support emergency and inpatient services as census and acuity require Participate in quality improvement and professional development activities Required Skills Acute care nursing Medical-surgical nursing Patient assessment IV therapy and venipuncture Medication administration Cardiac and vital sign monitoring Wound care management Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Patient and family education Infection control and safety protocols
