This travel nursing assignment on a MedSurg/Telemetry unit welcomes nurses eager to expand their portfolio in a robust, academic medical setting. Working in an academic medical center with Level 1 Trauma and Chest Pain Center designations will expose you to cutting-edge practices in patient care and innovative leadership styles. Schedule:

0630-1900 or 1830-0630 shifts Every other weekend rotation 6-week schedule cycles Expectation to work 75% of holidays (with advance notice of needs)

Qualifications:

Active RN license (state or compact accepted) At least 2 years' recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Proficiency in reading telemetry strips, patient IV management, and handling chest tubes, tracheostomies, and PCA pumps Solid communication and teamwork skills Ability to tolerate moderate to high stress levels

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and indirect patient care to a 5-6:1 nurse-patient ratio Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams Monitor, document, and communicate patient status using Epic EMR Float as needed to other med/surg units
