Qualifications:

Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license Recent clinical experience in a stepdown or progressive care unit Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills BLS and ACLS certifications required Adept at collaborating with physicians and allied health staff Compassionate communicator with patients and families

Responsibilities:

Deliver evidence-based nursing care and monitor complex patient needs in a stepdown environment Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and intervene promptly as clinical status changes Utilize hospital protocols and clinical judgment to provide safe, effective care Accurately document all aspects of patient status and interventions within EMR systems Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care Participate in daily rounds, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary collaboration Maintain compliance with hospital and nursing standards of practice
