Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Stepdown Registered Nurses are needed for contract roles offering an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care. As a valued member of the clinical team, you will provide critical nursing care for patients transitioning from intensive care, ensuring smooth recoveries and vigilant monitoring.
Schedule:
36 hours per week
Qualifications:
Current and unrestricted RN license Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities BLS and ACLS certifications required Ability to adapt quickly within fast-paced healthcare environments Excellent communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality nursing care to Stepdown unit patients, closely monitoring vital signs and recognizing early signs of patient deterioration Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement, evaluate, and revise care plans tailored to individual patient needs Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery processes and ongoing care Ensure accurate, timely documentation of all care provided using the electronic health record system Uphold infection control, safety, and organizational policies at all times Participate in shift handoffs and multidisciplinary rounds
