Helps prepare patients for surgery, and works with Surgeons and other specialists as part of an operating room medical team. 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring at least 3 years of OR experience, including circulating, Pre/Post-Op, and C-section experience. Details Acute care hospital operating room setting with 2 OR suites Cases include colonoscopy, EGD, BMT, T&A, arthroplasty (knee, hip, shoulder), arthroscopy (knee, shoulder), oral/dentistry, ophthalmic (cataracts), and OB/C-section Circulating RN role with Pre-Op and Post-Op (PACU/recovery) responsibilities including patient admitting and discharge Day shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts) Minimum of one weekday on-call shift per week required; on-call weekend coverage required every 3rd or 4th weekend (call requirements may be adjusted based on facility need) No floating required Charting performed in Cerner EMR Omnicell medication dispensing system utilized Local candidates are accepted Requirements Active NE or compact RN license required Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (PALS can be obtained after start) NRP certification highly preferred Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required Pre-Op, Post-Op, and circulating experience required C-section experience required Graduate of an accredited RN program COVID vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions are accepted Additional Information Primary duties include OR circulating, Pre-Op and Post-Op patient care, patient admitting, and discharge On-the-job orientation provided Any color scrubs permitted; must be clean and professional Please disclose any requested time off during the assignment at the time of consideration
