In this flexible, per diem role, you will deliver high-quality, age-appropriate nursing care to children in acute care settings, complete assessments, administer medications, manage IV therapy, and support families through education and advocacy. Responsibilities Provide direct pediatric nursing care to patients in acute care settings Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor vital signs and patient status Administer medications and manage IV therapy per provider orders and protocols Educate and support patients' families on diagnoses, treatments, and home care Document care accurately in the EMR and maintain thorough clinical records Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care plans Uphold infection-control, safety, and quality standards at all times Respond to pediatric emergencies and follow PALS and BLS protocols Participate in handoffs and communicate changes in patient condition promptly Adapt to varying shifts and facility assignments as a PRN staff nurse Required Skills Pediatric nursing Patient and family education Medication administration IV insertion and therapy PALS and BLS competencies EMR documentation Care coordination Vital signs and assessment Infection control Clinical decision-making
