Description:

Provide compassionate, culturally aware care to patients to enhance their quality of life. Provide clinically competent, professional care to patients through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Effectively interact with patients, family members, and other health team members, which maintaining standards of professional nursing for pediatric patients. Provide full range of pediatric inpatient nursing care to patients based on this specialty. Exercise and apply knowledge of the nursing procedures and its application to inpatient, pediatric practices to provide individualized, goal-oriented nursing care to patients. Exercise and apply knowledge of the medications and dosages to recognize their desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use. Exercise and apply knowledge of childhood immunizations and vaccines with most recent patient education resources and information. Analyze the results of various medical procedures and translate them into appropriate nursing interventions. Perform clinical procedures common for nursing, such as performing IVs, phlebotomy, processing laboratory testing, IVIG infusions, EKG, SVN Respiratory Treatments and response to emergency codes.
