- Perform pre-admission evaluations for the appropriateness of services.
- Initiates the admission process by educating and informing patients/families of its services.
- Obtains informed consent
- Provides nursing assessment, initial plan of care, and intervention(s) that optimize patient and family-directed comfort and quality of life.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program
- Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice
- Must possess current CPR Certification
- 1 year of Hospice experience, preferred
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, family members, visitors, agency personnel, and the general public
