Category Nursing - RN - MS Oncology Job Type Contract Bring your RN expertise in MS Oncology to an advanced clinical setting, leading a dedicated team in providing exceptional care for oncology patients. This full-time contract opportunity offers a dynamic leadership role where you will execute nursing operations with 24/7 accountability and drive positive patient outcomes through effective management, policy implementation, and cross-departmental collaboration.
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week
Hours:
6:30 AM - 4:30
PM Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required Current RN license for NM or valid compact license BLS certification (AHA only) Clinical experience in Oncology nursing and prior leadership roles highly desired
Responsibilities:
Lead nursing practice and operations for MS Oncology units Establish, communicate, and implement unit goals and evaluate progress Advocate for patient/family rights, address satisfaction issues, and uphold organizational values Direct patient care activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies Foster intra- and interdepartmental collaboration for cohesive patient care Recruit, support, and develop clinical and administrative staff in partnership with HR Manage staffing schedules, resource allocation, and competency assessment of associates Facilitate ongoing skills development and continuing education for nursing staff Coordinate process improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, quality, and satisfaction Oversee financial/resource utilization and assist in budgeting processes Maintain meticulous documentation, quality control, and compliance with accreditation standards Participate in disaster and emergency planning and response Conduct regular staff meetings to address unit matters, professional growth, and safety This role provides a unique opportunity for skilled nurse leaders to make a significant impact in oncology care, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and advance best practices in patient services.
