Position Urgency:
Immediate Opening We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide safe, efficient, and patient-centered perioperative care. This opportunity is ideal for an RN who demonstrates strong clinical judgment, professionalism, flexibility, and the ability to respond effectively to changing patient conditions and surgical priorities. The Registered Nurse will coordinate and implement patient care based on the age and needs of the population served, follow established unit standards of care, and collaborate closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Compensation and Benefits:
Annual Salary Range:
$68,640-$106,080 per year, based on a 40-hour workweek
    Sign-on Bonus:
    Up to $15,000, paid out in increments.
      Relocation Assistance:
      Up to $5,000.
      • Sign-on and relocation assistance are subject to applicable eligibility requirements and program terms. Qualifications and Requirements
      • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
      • Current New Mexico Registered Nurse license or an active multistate compact RN license.
      • Minimum of two years of relevant RN experience required.
      • Current American Heart Association BLS certification required, or must be obtained within two weeks of the hire date.
      • Other required department certifications must be obtained within six months of hire, as applicable.
      • Nurses who hold required certifications at the time of hire must maintain active credentials and are not eligible for a renewal grace period.
      • Current clinical knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served.
      • Knowledge of and sensitivity to patient rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
      • Clear and concise communication skills appropriate to patients' developmental needs.
      • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical and perioperative environment.
      Position Summary The Operating Room Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age and needs of the patient population served. The RN ensures that safe, quality care is delivered efficiently and consistently in accordance with unit standards, established policies, and professional nursing practice. This role requires a nurse who demonstrates quality and effectiveness in clinical practice, maintains professional work habits, supports the mission and goals of the organization, and treats patients, families, physicians, and coworkers with consideration and respect. Key Responsibilities
      • Coordinate and implement individualized perioperative patient-care plans.
      • Deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality nursing care in accordance with unit standards and evidence-based practices.
      • Assess patient needs and recognize changes in condition requiring prompt intervention.
      • Prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide appropriate care throughout the perioperative process.
      • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, physicians, and multidisciplinary team members.
      • Follow established policies, procedures, safety practices, and clinical protocols.
      • Protect patient rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
      • Provide care appropriate to each patient's developmental age and clinical condition.
      • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation.
      • Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, physicians, and team members.
      • Demonstrate sound clinical judgment during routine, urgent, and emergency situations.
      • Maintain required certifications and participate in continuing education and professional development.
      • Demonstrate scheduling flexibility in response to emergencies, changes in surgical volume, and operational needs.
      • Maintain a professional, respectful, and service-focused work environment.
      Supervision and Work Environment The Registered Nurse reports to the Patient Care Director or Nurse Manager. This position is based in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated, and smoke-free healthcare environment. The role may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, X- rays, and other clinical hazards. The work environment may include emotionally demanding situations, stressful professional relationships, emergencies, and variable work hours.
      Physical Requirements:

      • Ability to position, push, and transfer patients, equipment, and supplies.
      • Ability to perform frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.

      • Peripheral vision and the ability to distinguish and identify colors.
      • Hearing and visual acuity within normal or correctable limits.
      • Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination.
      • Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers.
