Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso seeks an RN Resident II for our Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. In this role, you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adult cardiac patients in a fast-paced, acute care setting. You'll assess and monitor patients, interpret rhythms, administer medications and IV therapies, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. You'll educate patients and families, support safe transitions of care, and participate in quality and safety initiatives, while growing your skills in a supportive, patient-first environment. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult cardiac progressive care patients following physician orders and hospital protocols Monitor, assess, and document patient status, including cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and response to treatments Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products safely and accurately Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and families to develop and revise patient care plans Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care Participate in admission, transfer, and discharge processes, ensuring accurate documentation Use cardiac monitoring equipment, EMR systems, and clinical technology effectively Support quality, safety, and infection-prevention initiatives in the CPCUPrecept, mentor, and support fellow residents and nursing staff as assigned Uphold Del Sol Medical Center's patient-first, compassionate care standards Required Skills Acute care nursing Cardiac/progressive care nursing Telemetry and rhythm interpretation IV therapy and medication administration Electronic medical records (EMR) documentation Patient and family education Care planning and care coordination Vital signs and cardiac monitoring Infection prevention and safety practices Clinical assessment and critical thinking
