1 Description American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for a Mon-Fri day shift acute hospital role requiring 1 year of case management/utilization review experience and an active NY RN license. Details Acute hospital setting within the Case Management department Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Mon-Fri block schedule No weekend requirement No on-call responsibilities Floating required within scope to meet facility needs Epic charting system preferred Requirements Active NY RN license required Minimum 1 year of case management/utilization review experience required Experience with care coordination, discharge planning, and needs assessment/DME ordering Experience determining medical necessity using InterQual and Milliman guidelines Experience with admission criteria, concurrent review, and continued stay reviews Familiarity with CMS and HIPAA regulatory guidelines Experience in Emergency Department, ICU, SDU/PCU/IMC/Obs, Surgical Services, or Women's Services preferred Additional Information Responsibilities include utilization review, discharge planning, and coordinating patient care plans Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Former Guthrie Healthcare System employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler Preference for candidates requesting 5 days or less of RTO First-time travelers are welcome to apply Approximately 4 hours of non-billable orientation modules must be completed prior to starting
