A local educational program is seeking an experienced School RN to supervise on-the-job learning for students enrolled in Nurse Assisting (Nurse Aide) courses. This is a contract position with shifts scheduled as needed, typically from 8-10 am and 12-2 pm, offering a great way to earn supplemental hours while making a difference. In this role, you will: Guide and supervise students in real-world clinical environments (8:1 ratio) Play a key part in developing meaningful, valid clinical experiences Assist in scheduling clinical instruction for trainees Collaborate with classroom teachers to coordinate and optimize clinical learning Communicate with agency personnel about clinical matters Monitor and evaluate students' skill development and professional progress Perform additional duties requested by the Nurse Aide teacher Desired qualifications include: Active New York State RN license, in good standing Eligibility for the Civil Service School Nurse title Recent experience in long-term care or nursing home settings Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for working with high school learners in a career-focused program The assignment begins as soon as possible, with the duration to be determined in collaboration with the district's evolving needs.
