Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - Endoscopy Job Type Contract Take your nursing expertise to the next level by supporting patients in a specialized Endoscopy/GI Lab setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse who thrives on providing high-quality, patient-centered care within a collaborative clinical environment. The role centers on professional accountability and the delivery of evidence-based interventions to adult and geriatric populations.
Schedule:
Five 8-hour shifts per week (days)
Qualifications:
Current NYS RN licensure, limited permit, or eligibility Previous experience in Endoscopy and/or GI Lab highly preferred Proficient assessment, communication, and documentation skills Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment Strong physical stamina to support patient lifting, movement, and extended periods of standing Excellent critical thinking and situational awareness, especially in emergency scenarios
Core Responsibilities:
Complete ongoing, systematic nursing assessments focusing on patients' physiological, psychological, and cognitive status Analyze assessment data to plan and deliver individualized, goal-focused care Accurately document all aspects of nursing care in a timely manner Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, applying established protocols Ensure all care meets institutional standards and upholds patients' rights and dignity Contribute to staff development and promote continual quality improvement within the care unit Maintain awareness of current nursing research and integrate relevant findings into practice Prioritize patient needs using available resources, while demonstrating strong professional ethics and accountability
