Step into a rewarding role providing vital care and support to students across a dynamic school district in the Ithaca, NY region. As a school-based Registered Nurse (RN), you will work full-time onsite, traveling between 12 different elementary and middle school campuses to assist and cover for nursing staff as needed. Your expertise will play a key part in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children and staff, all while enjoying a consistent weekday schedule from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current and valid NY state RN license is required Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred Proven ability to adapt quickly and provide nursing care in varying environments Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with interdisciplinary teams Willingness to support multiple sites and cover a diverse caseload of students

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive health care and triage for students at multiple elementary and middle schools Collaborate with a team of nurses, assisting and covering as needed to ensure consistent care Maintain accurate health records and documentation according to protocols Educate students and staff on health, wellness, and safety Respond to emergencies and manage ongoing health concerns with professionalism and compassion
