Job Title:
Registered Nurse (RN) - Pre-Op & PACU (Endoscopy Suite)
Location:
Mount Kisco, NY Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive patient care in a procedure suite (Gastroenterology/Endoscopy setting). This role focuses on pre-operative assessment and post-anesthesia recovery (PACU), ensuring patient safety, compliance, and high-quality care throughout the procedural experience.
Work Schedule Days:
Monday - Friday (flexible depending on case volume and delays)Workdays per week: 5 Work Environment Outpatient Gastroenterology / Endoscopy Procedure Suite (Quad A certified) Key Responsibilities Pre-Procedure ResponsibilitiesPerform patient admission and intake processes accurately and efficientlyReview medical history and assess patient suitability for proceduresEnsure completion of procedural and anesthesia consentsEducate patients on pre-procedure instructions, including medication holds and testing requirements Post-Procedure (PACU) Responsibilities Monitor patients during post-anesthesia recoveryAssess patient condition, vital signs, and readiness for dischargeProvide clear post-procedure instructions to patients and escortsAddress patient and caregiver questions thoroughly General Clinical Responsibilities Maintain accurate clinical documentationEnsure adherence to patient safety and clinical protocolsCollaborate with physicians and clinical teams to deliver optimal care Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) LicenseExperience in patient care within procedural, recovery, or clinical settings Key Skills & Competencies Strong patient assessment and triage skillsKnowledge of pre-op and post-anesthesia (PACU) workflowsAbility to ensure accurate documentation and complianceExcellent communication and patient education skillsHigh attention to patient safety and care standardsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
