Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - IR Job Type Contract Specialized nursing professionals play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within interventional radiology. This position focuses on providing compassionate, skilled nursing support to patients undergoing minimally invasive procedures. Working in a collaborative clinical environment, you will be an essential part of a dedicated healthcare team.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time schedule, based on departmental needs
Key Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted RN license (required) Strong background in interventional radiology nursing Experience assisting with IR procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, drain placements, and vascular access BLS and ACLS certifications (current) Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after IR procedures Monitor patients for changes in status, promptly reporting concerns to physicians Administer medications and IV sedation as appropriate Maintain sterile technique and assist interventional radiologists throughout procedures Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and post-care instructions Document all care provided in the electronic medical record Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
