What they do
A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
Required Skills:
Valid New York State (NYS) RN license Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Emergency Room (ER) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) NIHSS certification at the time of submission Must have completed at least 6 CEUs on Stroke-related topics prior to start Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities Nice toHave Skills:
Travel nursing experience Additional certifications related to radiology or vascular access Experience with interventional procedures and imaging modalitiesPreferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree preferred Prior experience in interventional radiology, ER, or ICU settings Familiarity with stroke care protocols and emergency responseOther Requirements:
No weekend or on-call responsibilities Availability for Monday-Friday shifts, with alternating 8-hour or 10-hour days Willingness to travel within the local area is advantageous Ability to meet continuing education requirements prior to start date This position offers competitive pay at $35 per hour, with a weekly per diem of $1246 based on 40 hours.
