What they do
A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience Current New York State (NYS) nursing license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification NIHSS certification at the time of submission Must have at least 6 CEUs on Stroke-related topics prior to start Proven experience with orthopedic procedures Travel experience preferred Ability to work on call as required Nice toHave Skills:
Prior experience in a travel nursing role Additional certifications related to perioperative or orthopedic carePreferred Education and Experience:
Registered Nurse with an active NYS license At least 2 years of operating room experience, with a focus on orthopedic surgeries Experience working in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsOther Requirements:
On-call availability required Ability to work either 3x12-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts, with guaranteed hours Willingness to work in Auburn, NY, with local rates available for those within 60 milesCompensation & Benefits:
