Job Description

The MDS RN is responsible for the overall MDS processing for the facility according to CMS regulations. A few of the most common duties and responsibilities required include: 1. Assist with completion of the MDS process as assigned including scheduling, completing the RAI, CAT's, CAAs, and transmission to CMS. 2. Monitor resident conditions and schedule MDS assessments to facilitate case mix. 3. Assist in education of the Interdisciplinary Team in the MDS process, i.e. MDS completion, use of CATs, CAAs, and care planning as defined in the RAI User's Manual as well as case mix monitoring. 4. Assure all disciplines input MDS date into the computer within the applicable timeframe to maintain compliance with CMS regulations. 5. Assist with preparation and deliverance of therapy/ skilled nursing cut notices as directed by the business office.
Requirements :
Graduate of an accredited RN school of Nursing Current New York State License as a Registered Nurse Long Term Care and prior MDS experience preferred The Wesley Community strives to have its employees be a part of a culture of excellence and to enjoy their work.
