Job Description

Healthcare Facility is looking for an RN Nurse Educator / Wound Care Nurse to join our growing team.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
(Including but not limited to): Must have strong communication skills. Comply with all state requirements and facility policies, procedures and standards of conduct. Have the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to the individualized wound care needs. Communicates and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and or physicians. Enters all wound care data into Electronic Medical Record. Rounds and Obtains orders from Wound Care, MD weekly and ensures accuracy of Orders in EMR. Organizes and conducts all new employee orientations. Plans, conducts and coordinates all educational programs for the development and improvement of necessary skills and knowledge for all personnel. Ensures in-service programs are conducted according to facility policy and procedure and are in compliance with state and federal regulations. Provides and promotes a continuous educational environment to staff through positive communication skills and demonstrates ability to work with all levels of staff. Demonstrates and promotes a professional work environment by maintaining a professional, positive role model image to staff. Reports to the RN Director of Nursing.
QUALIFICATIONS
Current RN license Reliable transportation and demonstrate excellent work ethic. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
EXPERIENCE
Experienced in Long Term Care preferred.
