Position Summary

• Seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and oversee medical care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role includes nursing assessments, medication administration, staff training, care planning, and coordination with healthcare providers to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate pre-admission medical evaluations.
• Develop and update nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.
• Review medication interactions and laboratory requirements.
• Coordinate physician appointments and follow-up care.
• Monitor special diets, blood pressure, weight, and overall health status.
• Provide wound care and nursing treatments.
• Escort residents to medical and psychiatric appointments as needed.
• Participate in consult reviews and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide on-call support.
• Train Residence Managers and Direct Support Professionals.
• Conduct AMAP medication administration training.
• Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
• Coordinate infection prevention and control activities.
• Administer employee health screenings, including PPD testing.
• Collaborate with physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, and family members.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and confidentiality standards.

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience.

Pay:

$90,000.00 - $96,407.00 per year
