Hours Schedule:
Night Shift | 3x12 Hours 7:00 PM
  • 7:30 AM Every other weekend & some holidays required
Duration:
16 Weeks (High possibility of extension or permanent placement)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced RN
  • Pediatric Emergency Department to provide specialized emergency nursing care to pediatric patients in a high-acuity trauma setting.
The RN will be responsible for rapid assessment, triage, emergency interventions, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced Level 1 or Level 2 trauma environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct emergency nursing care to pediatric patients in the Emergency Department Perform rapid triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on acuity Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions Collaborate with physicians, trauma teams, and healthcare staff Maintain accurate documentation using
EPIC EMR
Educate patients and families regarding emergency care and treatment plans Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and hospital policies Deliver high-quality emergency care with minimal supervision
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric ED experience required Formal pediatric triage training required Strong pediatric emergency and critical care skills required Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma environment required Majority of experience must be in Pediatric ED (adult ED only experience not accepted) BSN preferred Active New York State RN License required BLS Certification required TNCC or TCRN Certification required Additional pediatric/trauma certifications preferred For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
