Registered Nurse (RN)

Midwest Center at Youngstown is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:

Guide patients through their detox process per the physician's orders Educate patients about their condition and assist the physician and ARNP with accurate clinical reporting Perform nursing assessments at intake and discharge nursing actions Administer prescribed medications and make independent decisions within your scope of practice Monitor and record patient care through our Electronic Health System Follow Universal Infections Control Precautions and maintain accurate logs of controlled substance distribution

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in nursing or higher 1+ years of experience as a RN in a detox or similar treatment facility environment (strongly preferred) State RN license in good standing Current CPR certification Psychiatric nursing experience required Ability to recognize signs and symptoms of withdrawal pain and critically dangerous medical emergencies Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision Familiarity with ASAM criteria and JCAHO Standards of Care for

Behavioral Health Additional Requirements:

Electronic Health Record experience Ability to respond physically and calmly during emergency situations Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
