Responsibilities:
As a Unit Manager your responsibilities include: Assists the DON with planning, directing, and supervising the activities of the nursing staff. Ensures the Nursing Department is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Develop, implement and update department policy and procedures when necessary or as directed. Assists with staffing to ensure Resident needs and regulatory requirements are met at all times. Participates in Federal, State and Local agency annual surveys. Reviews any deficiencies noted by government agencies during inspections and assists with the implementation of changes needed to correct any deficiencies found. Completes annual performance reviews of all subordinate staff. Provides guidance and education to staff in regards to their performance. Maintain accuracy of patient records Report and investigate incidents thoroughly and timely Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical needs of each patient Assist physicians during rounds Provide guidance and training for aides Demonstrates proficient nursing skills
Qualifications:
Current State License as a Registered Nurse High school graduate/GED, Long-term care experience, good communication skills
