What they do
A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Oncology experience preferred but not required Pay & Benefits Pay package discussed upon application ($59.18/hr) Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time per applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You'll Do Float to various Oncology Medical-Surgical units as needed Provide patient-centered care for oncology and non-oncology diagnoses, including hematology, solid tumors, and other medical conditions Ensure staff and patient safety in a corrections environment with access controlled by Corrections Officers Utilize EPIC for patient documentation and Pyxis for medication management Monitor cardiac rhythms, manage IV therapies, and provide respiratory support with equipment such asCPAP/BIPAP
Support with blood product administration, line care, and complex patient procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and respiratory services What You Need Valid Ohio RN license BLS certification (Basic Life Support) EPIC charting experience Oncology and Medical-Surgical experience preferred but not required Strong knowledge of telemetry, IV therapy, and respiratory management Ability to adapt to rotating shifts and manage complex patient care About the Assignment Join a correctional health unit dedicated to providing high-quality care in a secure environment.
