In this role, you'll deliver comprehensive perioperative care to pediatric patients, from pre-op assessment through post-op recovery, while assisting surgeons and anesthesia providers in a fast-paced OR environment. You'll maintain strict sterile technique, ensure safety, and support families with clear communication.   • and post-operative nursing care for pediatric surgical patients in the operating room Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety at all times Administer and monitor medications, IVs, and sedation per provider orders and facility protocols Perform pre-op assessments, verify consents, and support families with clear communication and education Operate and troubleshoot OR equipment and technology specific to pediatric procedures Document all care accurately in the electronic medical record and follow hospital policies Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR team for efficient case flow Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards in all perioperative activities Required Skills Pediatric perioperative nursing Intraoperative patient monitoring Sterile technique and infection control Medication administration and IV therapy Airway and hemodynamic monitoring Use of OR equipment and instrumentation Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Pre•and post-operative patient assessment Family and patient communication Emergency response in the OR
