Desired Qualifications:

Active and unencumbered RN license At least one year of current experience in a PACU or critical care setting Proficiency in post-anesthesia assessment, pain management, and airway monitoring Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams Experience with electronic health records is preferred

Role Responsibilities:

Monitor and assess patients emerging from anesthesia to ensure safe recovery Deliver high-quality nursing interventions for post-anesthesia complications Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and PACU protocols Clearly communicate patient status changes to surgical, anesthesia, and recovery teams Educate patients and families on post-operative care and follow-up instructions Maintain accurate and detailed patient records Support a safe and therapeutic environment for patients transitioning from the operating room
