1 Description American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring open heart post-op experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license. Details 16-bed Surgical ICU within a 310-bed hospital Care for open heart post-op patients including CABG and valve procedures with Impella, IABP, and CRRT support Targeted patient ratios of 1:2 for Critical Care and 1:3 for Intermediate level patients Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30 13-week contract with a winter option of 13 or 18 weeks Floating required at facility discretion, including to other campuses within 15 miles of main campus Must work every other weekend and every other holiday Epic EMR used Unit manages COVID positive patients, 24-hour EEG monitoring, hypothermia protocol post cardiac arrest, and prone positioning Requirements Active Ohio RN license or compact license required Associate's Degree in Nursing or BSN required Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required BLS and ACLS certification through AHA required NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred Required open heart experience: CABG, valve post-op, Impella, IABP, and CRRT Must pass an online EKG/dysrhythmia competency assessment within 72 hours of signing Skilled in ventilator management, NIH stroke scale, IV starts, ICP monitoring, and conscious sedation with ability to read and interpret cardiac strips Epic charting experience required Charge nurse experience preferred Additional Information Level III Trauma Center with a designated Neuro Unit for ischemic stroke patients receiving TPA Facility provides Family Centered Care with no restricted visiting hours Strong emphasis on customer service First-time travelers are welcome to apply RTO must be requested at time of submittal with a maximum of 14 days per contract; no RTO added after offer Local candidates are not accepted; local radius is 50 miles Former Premier Health perm/PRN employees or previously non-extended agency staff must wait 6 months before reapplying as a traveler Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract due to low census
