1 Description American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Tele Step Down position requiring at least one year of experience and an active RN license (OK or compact). Details Med Specialty Step Down unit within a hospital setting Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week) MS/SD experience required, ICU experience preferred Requirements Active RN license issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact (eNLC) Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association ACLS preferred Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques Effective verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills required Additional Information Provide direct nursing care to an assigned group of patients with varying acuity levels Document patient responses to interventions and treatments, noting all physician order changes Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures Monitor physiological data and intervene as needed Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge information Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced; onboarding must begin immediately upon offer Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks prior to start date Returning workers limited to one extension up to 26 weeks total, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
