Qualifications and Experience:

Active, unencumbered RN license in Oregon Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff Ability to remain calm and effective in emergencies Knowledge of common childhood illnesses, medication administration, and individualized health care plans

Responsibilities:

Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and parent instructions Respond promptly to student health concerns, injuries, or medical emergencies throughout the school day Conduct routine screenings such as vision and hearing tests Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student well-being Maintain accurate health records, manage immunization compliance, and ensure confidentiality Educate students and staff on topics such as hygiene, illness prevention, and managing chronic health conditions Experience the variety and fulfillment that comes with helping students achieve their best health and academic performance.
