Travel RN Emergency Room. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical nursing care in diverse emergency settings across various locations, ensuring prompt and effective treatment for patients with urgent medical needs. RN EMERGENCY ROOM.
Shift:
12-hours days Shift details: 7.00 AM to 7.00 PM 36 hours/week. (3
  • 12) 13-week assignment Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients presenting with acute medical conditions, trauma, or critical illnesses in diverse hospital settings.
Perform detailed patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine immediate treatment priorities. Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, following precise protocols while monitoring for adverse reactions. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information accurately and efficiently. Assist with advanced procedures such as airway management, suturing, catheterization, and ventilator support as required by the clinical situation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, radiology staff performing CT scans or sonography, and laboratory personnel for diagnostic evaluation. Implement infection control practices adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families during high-stress situations, including trauma or critical illness scenarios. Qualifications Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in multiple states. Proven emergency room experience with a minimum of one year working in Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred; ICU or critical care experience is highly valued. Demonstrated proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for documentation and order entry. Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, medication administration, trauma medicine, airway management, and aseptic technique. Knowledge of ICD-10 coding, laboratory procedures, specimen collection/processing, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs. Ability to adapt quickly to new environments while maintaining excellent patient assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication skills coupled with a professional attitude that promotes teamwork and patient-centered care.
