Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Nursing Educator to join our team. In this vital role, you will develop and deliver engaging educational programs for nursing staff, students, and healthcare professionals. Your expertise will enhance clinical skills, promote best practices in patient care, and support the ongoing professional development of our caregiving team. Shift:
Full-time, hybrid shifts offered in Portland, Oregon. Responsibilities Design, implement, and evaluate nursing education programs aligned with current healthcare standards and institutional goals. Facilitate classroom instruction and hands-on training for nursing staff, students, and interdisciplinary teams. Develop curricula utilizing learning technologies such as Canvas, Full Fabric and other LMS (Learning Management Systems). Provide mentorship and supervision to nursing students during clinical rotations in hospital, ICU, pediatric, adult, and senior care settings. Review documentation, including care plans, patient records, and research data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with hospital administration and academic partners to develop innovative training modules that incorporate medical terminology, critical care practices, and nursing administration principles. Stay current with advancements in healthcare education, research developments, and industry best practices to continuously improve program quality. Qualifications Oregon RN nursing license required. MSN in Nursing from an accredited institution is required. Proven supervising experience in clinical or educational settings within healthcare or higher education institutions. Strong knowledge of LMS platforms such as Canvas, Full Fabric, or similar learning technology tools preferred. Prior curriculum development experience and familiarity with acute care and/or long-term care environments preferred. Minimum 3 years experience in adult education and classroom instruction required. Background in nursing practice with expertise in patient care, care plans, documentation review, and medical terminology. Demonstrated ability to work with students and healthcare professionals across diverse clinical settings. Excellent communication skills combined with critical thinking abilities to foster an engaging learning environment.
