1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a PA or compact license, BSN, and 2+ years of specialty experience. Details Labor and Delivery unit setting with high acuity, fast-paced patient care Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Patient ratio of 1-2 No floating required Weekend requirement of every 3rd weekend, including Friday/Saturday nights No on-call requirements Holiday coverage required for at least one of Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day Uses Epic charting system, experience preferred Scrubs provided Requirements Active PA or compact RN license required BSN required Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required Certifications required:

NRP, ACLS, BLS AWHONN

Intermediate or Beginner certification required (Advanced preferred) Prior travel nursing experience preferred due to high acuity and fast pace of the unit Teaching hospital experience preferred Central line (CVC/PICC) maintenance skills preferred Experience with high-risk antepartum and high-risk delivery preferred PA fingerprints (Childline and FBI) required within 12 months of start, completed within 1 week of signing Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration Must complete labs within 48 hours of signing Additional Information Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum management Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk deliveries Manage fetal monitoring including external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC placement Administer medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives Provide newborn care including APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and neonatal resuscitation support Care for patients with complex conditions such as pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, placenta previa, and multiple gestations Support postpartum recovery including hemorrhage management and breastfeeding support Facility performs 200+ births per month in a teaching hospital environment Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a differentiated rate Pass/fail clinical exam required for clearance, with a maximum of three attempts Modules completed during orientation; time beyond first 8 hours may be billable RTO must be submitted at time of application and will not be accepted afterward
