A Dialysis Registered Nurse cares for patients with kidney disease and coordinates dialysis treatment for patients. Educates patients and families about dialysis treatment and equipment, and monitors patients' medications. Works under the supervision of physicians in clinical settings, including hospitals, dialysis clinics and doctor's offices, and may visit patients that receive dialysis at home.

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Staff Nurse, RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to a designated group of patients. The nurse will establish goals and priorities of nursing care. The nurse will develop a written plan of nursing care which includes patient education and discharge planning. The staff nurse will be responsible for documentation of care given with patient progress. The RN will work collaboratively with the medical staff in matters of patient care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
(S): Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact. required or Registered Nurse from another state with a Temporary PA Practice Permit required. AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period
