A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Saturday and Sunday 8:30 am - 8:00 pm
Responsibilities:
Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician. Initiates the plan of care and makes necessary revisions as patient status and needs change. Responds promptly to incoming calls during afterhours. (Weekends 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM) Assesses patient's needs through triaging and providing in-home care when needed. Collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners and interdisciplinary team to contribute a strong Plan of Care for each patient. Responds to inquiries and concerns from patients, their caregivers, and their medical team. Consults patients and caregivers before, during and after treatment.
Qualifications:
2+ years' nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics is desirable. New nurses, feel free to apply! We have a great training program. Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. Proficient with electronic medical records. Excellent bedside manner and communication skills. Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations. Maintain current BLS CPR certification.
