A Production Plant Foreman works with the Plant Manager or Supervisor in scheduling the activities of the employees and team leaders. Meets regularly with the team leaders to communicate anticipated production sequences, to discuss potential production problems, and to provide opportunity for input on improvement of work processes and work flow. 401(k) Company parties Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance We are seeking an experienced Production Foreman to provide hands-on leadership and coordinate daily workflow throughout our architectural millwork production facility. This role works closely with the Plant Technical Manager to keep projects moving efficiently, maintain exceptional quality standards, solve production challenges, and coach and develop our shop team.
Duties will include:
Daily Production Leadership on the production floor. Production floor coordination. Maintaining and supporting production quality. Employee development. Technical support. Safety Leadership.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong leadership presence on the production floor. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Thorough understanding of architectural millwork manufacturing. Ability to read architectural drawings and shop drawings. Commitment to quality craftsmanship and employee development. Working knowledge of OSHA safety practices. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Highly Desirable Skills/Abilities:
Architectural millwork installation experience. Knowledge of AWI Quality Standards. Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience. Experience with production scheduling software. Forklift certification and
OSHA 10/30
certification preferred.
Education and Experience:
7+ years of architectural millwork manufacturing experience. 3+ years in a lead, foreman, or supervisory role. Extensive knowledge of custom millwork fabrication. Demonstrated experience coordinating production workflow. Associate degree in Carpentry, Cabinetmaking Technology, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience will be strongly considered.
