2200-0630am Job Description Sthenos Technologies is seeking Correctional Registered Nurses for contract assignments at Waymart, PA. The RN will provide professional nursing services to patients within a Pennsylvania Department of Corrections facility while following applicable healthcare, clinical, safety, and institutional procedures. Responsibilities Provide professional nursing care and treatment to inmates and patients Perform clinical assessments and monitor changes in patient condition Administer prescribed medications and treatments Develop and implement nursing care plans Maintain accurate clinical and electronic medical records Coordinate treatment with physicians and other healthcare staff Perform required nursing procedures including IV therapy, medication administration, catheter care, oxygen therapy, EKGs, glucometer testing, neurological checks, wound care and related procedures Respond to medical emergencies Maintain infection-control and patient-safety standards Follow correctional healthcare and security procedures The Commonwealth correctional RN specifications describe staff-nurse, charge-nurse and assessment responsibilities along with the required clinical competency set. Requirements Active Pennsylvania RN license or qualifying temporary practice permit Ability to document healthcare information in an electronic medical record Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Ability to perform required professional RN competencies Ability to work the 2200 PM
