Area Quality Specialist - RN AccentCare remote work United States, Washington, Lynnwood 3400 188th Street Southwest (Show on map) Aug 24, 2026 Overview Find your purpose giving patient care teams the knowledge and tools they need to better care for patients as an Area Quality Specialist Registered Nurse! This is a rare opening on a well-established team. It's open after more than a decade only because of retirement and gives you flexibility to work from home, plan your travel schedule, and travel regularly to all three west-coast states! Airfare, mileage, per diem allowance and hotel stays are all included in this unique role. You won't supervise anybody in this role, but you will lead!
Pay:
95,000 to $115,000 per year, depending on experience
Remote/Travel:
Work from home a little more than half the time. The other 50% or so is site visits, spending 3-4 days at each location listed below.

Lynwood, WA; Renton, WA; Tacoma, WA; Medford, OR; Grants Pass, OR Petaluma, CA; San Ramon, CA; Sacramento, CA; Redding, CA The person we hire can live near any of these nine locations. What You Need to Know In this role, you'll help our teams improve how they care for patients, through these responsibilities Analyze CMS, SHP and AccentCare data to monitor trends and suggest ways to improve metrics Serve as the primary Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement resource for the region Provide expertise and preparation planning for triannual surveys to maintain our CHAP accreditation Help plan for planned external surveys Provide remote consultation during unplanned state surveys Perform annual quality audits for each location To be considered, you'll need to meet these minimum qualifications Active RN license in any US state At least five years of healthcare experience At least two years of experience in home health nursing Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting These qualities, skills and abilities will help you thrive in this role Experience in a home health leadership/supervisory role (you won't supervise anyone in this role but the insights gained from that experience are valuable here) Effective communication skills via multiple media: report writing, presentations, email, in-person and video (we use MS Teams) Effective critical thinking skills that lead to sound judgement Ability to authentically earn and maintain trust among staff, leaders and executives Wherewithal to follow established quality processes and procedures Knowledge of regulatory standards for the Medical Home Care industry Knowledge of Quality Improvement, Utilization Review and Risk Management principles You can find success and joy in this role if you have experience in these roles: Quality Nurse, Nurse Educator, Area Quality Specialist, Regional Quality Specialist, Regional Clinical Quality Manager, Regional Clinical Quality Specialist, Regional Director of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI), Clinical Quality & Compliance Specialist, Director of Nursing (DON), Assistant director of Nursing (ADON), Patient Care Manager, Regional Healthcare Compliance Auditor Why AccentCare?
