Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical On Call professional, where your expertise will be vital in providing timely, high-quality patient care services. Providing our clients with triage medical on call coverage through the weekends via phone calls and covering in person the following responsibilities when our nurse is out. Conduct med visits in the field, providing field physicals to students as needed. Meet with medical department personnel to discuss student's needs Triage via phone medical concerns from the field on continual basis Provide daily medical drop-offs to Logistics department for individual student infield needs. CPR certification of staff. Monitor med and first aid bags/order supplies as needed Provide support for student admissions with DVMC, Snow Creek urgent care & UBMC. Prepare weekly package of medications to the field for students. Arrange for student medication refills while in programs. Minimum Qualifications Hold a current EMT certification and licensure, CNA or RN preferred Have a good working knowledge of computers. Able to drive to the field areas Must provide Motor vehicle record with no driving restrictions. Must pass a Utah state background check Experience Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting or medical laboratory work is strongly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy, specimen handling, and processing. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology to support diverse patient populations. Hands-on experience with hospital environments and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for data entry and record keeping. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required; additional phlebotomy or venipuncture certifications are advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport specimens or equipment safely. Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care, attention to detail, and adherence to aseptic techniques in all procedures.
