Job Description

OVERVIEW
The Casual Registered Nurse (RN) provides clinical support services for clients receiving Comprehensive Home Care services in accordance with Minnesota Statutes Chapter 144A and agency policies. Responsibilities may include conducting client assessments, completing supervisory visits, supporting delegated nursing tasks, updating care plans, providing caregiver training, and assisting with clinical documentation and compliance activities. This role works collaboratively with the client care and operations teams to support safe, compliant, high-quality client care throughout assigned territories within the Twin Cities metro area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments as required under Minnesota Home Care regulations. Complete supervisory visits, reassessments, and client reviews according to agency timelines and regulatory requirements. Develop, review, and update client care plans as needed. Assess for health and safety risks within the client environment and recommend appropriate interventions or supports. Provide caregiver instruction, competency validation, and delegated task oversight when applicable and permitted under Minnesota Home Care regulations. Monitor for changes in client condition and communicate concerns to appropriate parties. Support documentation accuracy and compliance with Minnesota Home Care statutes, regulations, and agency policies. Maintain timely and accurate electronic documentation in agency systems. Collaborate with the client care and operations teams regarding client needs, scheduling coordination, service changes, and compliance follow-up. Participate in quality assurance and clinical process improvement efforts as requested. Promote client dignity, confidentiality, safety, and infection control practices at all times. Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current Minnesota RN license in good standing. Minimum of two years of nursing experience preferred; home care, hospice, case management, or community-based experience preferred. Current CPR certification. Knowledge of Minnesota Home Care regulations preferred. Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and manage flexible scheduling needs. Comfortable working in client homes and community settings. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and ability to travel throughout assigned territory. Basic computer proficiency and ability to document electronically.
WORK SCHEDULE & STRUCTURE
Flexible scheduling based on client and operational needs. Territory-based assignments mainly in the North Twin Cities metro. Combination of in-home visits, remote documentation, and periodic office meetings as needed.

Work Environment Work performed in clients' homes, office, and community settings; travel between sites required. Environmental conditions vary and may include pets, tobacco smoke, cleaning agents, and medical equipment. Noise levels range from low (office) to moderate (in-home/community). Compliance with all health, safety, infection-control, and site-specific protocols.
Pay:
From $43.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 15.0 per week
