Job Description

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our practice at The Miriam Hospital Cardiovascular Institute in East Providence, RI. Reporting to the Medical Director for the Division of Cardiology and the Manager for APPs, in this role you will be responsible for overseeing the progress of a specific caseload of cardiology patients. This is a full-time day shift position with an annual salary range of $127,504.00-$161,782.40 .
Responsibilities:
Provide consultative cardiovascular care to patients incorporating guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) in a timely, efficient, and equitable manner Provide patient- and family-centered care for patients with chronic cardiac diseases in an ambulatory setting Function as a clinical leader, educator, consultant, and liaison to healthcare providers Implement primary and secondary prevention interventions for cardiovascular disease, management of chronic stable cardiac diseases, and episodic care Perform routine history and physical examinations, integrating laboratory data, EKG, CXR, stress testing, echocardiograms, and other diagnostic tests when formulating a plan of care Participate in clinical research, education and training, and quality improvement initiatives Mentor and train APP students and new employees
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program with a master's degree Current licensure as an NP/PA in the State of Rhode Island Current board certification from NCCPA, ANCC, or AANP DEA, BLS, and ACLS required Working at Brown University Health As of October 15, 2024, Lifespan is now Brown University Health.
