Job Description

A growing outpatient medical practice is seeking a dependable and compassionate Registered Nurse to join its clinical team on a per diem basis. The RN will assist providers with patient care, clinical procedures, documentation, patient education, and other responsibilities necessary to maintain a safe and efficient medical office. This position is ideal for an experienced nurse seeking a flexible schedule in a professional outpatient environment. Key Responsibilities Assess patients and obtain vital signs and relevant medical information Review medications, allergies, and medical histories Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures Administer medications and treatments as directed by a licensed provider Perform injections, blood draws, and other clinical services within the RN's scope of practice Monitor patients before, during, and after treatments Educate patients regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up instructions Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record Respond to patient questions and telephone messages Maintain infection-control and patient-safety standards Assist with inventory and the proper storage of clinical supplies and medications Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to support a positive patient experience Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable clinical regulations Qualifications Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license Current BLS or CPR certification Previous nursing experience required Outpatient, primary care, infusion, wellness, or specialty-practice experience is preferred Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail Excellent communication and patient-care skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable using electronic health record systems Dependable and available to provide per diem coverage as needed Schedule Per diem hours based on practice needs Daytime and weekday availability is preferred Additional coverage opportunities may be available What We Offer Flexible per diem scheduling Professional and supportive work environment Competitive hourly compensation based on experience Opportunity to work with a growing healthcare team Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply with a current résumé and a brief summary of their clinical experience and availability.
