Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Tele Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse with strong clinical skills and adaptability. This contract role is designed for professionals eager to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, supporting a large union hospital. The assignment spans 13 weeks, offering valuable experience and exposure to a collaborative medical team.
Schedule:
Night shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am 36/48 hour work weeks Assignment to a primary home unit, but flexibility required Floating up to 3 times per shift, as staffing is reassessed every 4 hours
Qualifications:
Current, unencumbered Rhode Island RN License BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of one year recent experience in a Telemetry nursing setting Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Flexibility and resilience to adapt to frequent unit changes during shift Experience working in unionized hospital settings (preferred, not mandatory)
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and step-down intervention Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, alerting healthcare teams to changes Administer medications, treatments, and manage IV lines in accordance with physician orders Maintain accurate electronic documentation and adhere to hospital protocols Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, patient-centered care Act as a resource and support for less experienced staff when needed
