Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols, including IV infusions and aseptic techniques. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Point Click Care to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and ventilator management. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients across various specialties including critical care, geriatrics, and behavioral health. Ensure infection control practices are rigorously followed to maintain a sterile environment and prevent healthcare-associated infections. Requirements Valid RN license in the state of employment with current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred for critical care roles. Demonstrated experience working in long term care environments. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Point Click Care for accurate medical documentation and coding (ICD-10/ICD-9). Strong clinical skills in areas such as cardiac care, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and acute pain management. Experience working with diverse patient populations including , geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Knowledge of laboratory procedures including specimen collection/processing. Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to perform physical examinations and assessments confidently while maintaining patient safety at all times. Ability to adapt quickly in high-pressure situations requiring critical care response.
